Time Zones: The Month of Tammuz : Cancer

Time Zones:
The Month of Tammuz : Cancer

Tammuz is one of the three negative months of the year: Tevet, Tammuz and Av. Kabbalah teaches us that the course of history transpires as a result of the cyclical energy processes of the year rather than because of physical events. Therefore, by looking at the time at which each moment in history occurs, we can better understand why it happened.

Tammuz is controlled by the Moon. There are seven plants that the Kabbalistic Astrology is based upon: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars. Each planet controls two signs, except for the Sun, which controls only Leo (Av) and the moon, which controls only Cancer (Tammuz).

Mars controls Aries (fire) and Scorpio (water)
Venus controls Taurus (earth) and Libra (air)
Mercury controls Gemini (air) and Virgo (earth)
Jupiter controls Sagittarius (fire) and Pisces (water)
Saturn controls Capricorn (earth) and Aquarius (air)
Moon controls Cancer (water)
Sun controls Leo (fire)

Because the sun and the moon control one sign each, an unbalanced situation is created in each of these months. This imbalance causes the crab, the symbol for the month of Tammuz, to walk sideways rather than forward and backward. This also gives the month of Tammuz the opening for Cancer to begin, and it is the only month that is named after a disease.

On the seventeenth day of Tammuz, Moses came down form Mount Sinai with the Tablets, bringing to the world the power and energy of immortality. However, the Israelites and the mixed multitude were waited impatiently for Moses to come down from Mount Sinai and built the Golden Calf, the sight of which caused Moses to shatter the Tablets. This moment was marked by a clashing of two energies: the power of immortality and chaos with suffering, depression and death.

Sartan (Eng. Cancer), in Aramaic is made up of two parts: Sar – to remove and clean all the negativity, and Tan – chaos, hatred, animosity and any aspect of negativity. The power of the month of Cancer is to remove any problems or negative situations in our lives that might cause this disease to come to our lives.

According to “The Book of Formation” by Avraham Avinu, the month of Cancer was created by the Hebrew letters Chet (which created Tammuz) and Taf (which created the Moon). The moon is unlike any other celestial body, as it changes its position each day, but remains visible nonetheless. It begins each lunar month as a thin scythe and reaches its fullest brightness on the fifteenth. From the moment that the fifteenth day is over, the light of the moon begins to wane, and this cycle repeats itself each month.

This explains the Cancerian’s high sensitivity. They seem to need more love than other sign. The moon’s waning causes them to feel that there is always something missing, and this leads to depression. The cure for these low moments is caring, sharing, loving, and giving to others. In addition, Cancerians must do their best to let go of the past and see beyond ill feelings and wounds. This is the only way for them to find truly happiness and love.

Cancerians are very domestic people. Their motto is “my house is my fortress,” and they are strongly connecting to family and home. They love history and archaeology – anything that reminds them of the past. They have a sensitive stomach, as this is the body part they hold in the tension and unsolved emotional difficulties.

The misfortune which takes place during these three months is the result of negative cosmic forces. The hazards and pitfalls that many of us encounter can be traced to our having come under the influence of these periods of negative energy. Hence it is wise to be cog-ni-zant of the danger zones and careful to avoid them.

Certain times and places speak strongly of an underlying force responsible for a world of order and beauty. Yet we cannot close our eyes to the pain, violence and chaos hat make their presence so cruelly felt. The problem rests with Di-nim ( ungovernable energy)  Also in the Eastern philosophies during these particular 3 months the yang energies prevail creating much unbalance.

During the months of Tammuz, Av and Tevet, the energy of the Force is such that there is no revelation of the Skekhinah, the feminine force of God, and the appropriate cosmic vessel which insures the manifestation and stability of the force. At such times the dynamic intensity of the force is so severe that no vessel is capable of making contact with, or handling the energy of the force, which thereby manifests as Di-nim(ungovernable energy) in the universe.

The Force might be aptly compared to the energy which enters our homes through the electric wires. Controlled it is of immense value, uncontrolled it can be destructive and downright dangerous. Switch on a light, for example, and you receive a wonderful blessing, but stick you finger in a socket and the same energy provides you with a horrible curse.

The Israelites as well as  metaphysicians understand that Celestrial forces are governed by the activity of man. Thus instead of being pawns in the cosmic scheme. as other ancients had believed, metaphysicians  understand man to be the prime interface between the terrestrial and the celestial forces of the metaphysical domain. Only when the forces are in balance do the heavens declare their majesty and influence.

During Tammuz, Av and Tevet in the absence of the Temple, the energy vessel of the God the Mother, the violence that threatens our planet cannot be halted. Within the framework of Tammuz, Av and Tevet there is very little that the average person can do to influence the cosmic forces. Certain individuals of extraordinary spiritual ability can channel these forces and Kabbalists as well as other belief systems have specific meditations designed to reduce the intensity of the Force during such times and thus make it beneficial. Having accomplished these meditations, the Skekhinah transforms the immense power of the force, thus permitting the Kabbalist to function even in an environment of violence and chaos.

The Force must under go a reduction in order to operate as a viable circuit of energy here on earth. Variations in the revealed energy of the Force influence the beginning of new ventures, inasmuch as the lifeblood of a new venture and its potential success depends on the ability of the force to make itself manifest. During Tammuz, Av and Tevet, the Force is in a state of Kat nut, a decreased level of activity, hence the increased chance that a new venture will have a negative outcome.

Those born within such time zones are those who have been chosen with the challenge of helping generate and share tremendous light force within this plane of physicality…and this is accomplished by a proactive lifestyle via not only by words, but by deeds as well…so one must walk the talk.

Again the roots of most misfortunes can be traced to the cosmic danger zones. Armed with the knowledge of these zones, we can transcend the realm of chance, luck, and indetermination, and bring order, fulfillment and supreme tranquility to our lives

Time Zones; Iyar The Taurian Light

We Kabbalists are cautioned to avoid lunar Taurus, a month of abstention and traditional mourning customs, when contemplating new ventures.  Yet, as is true of all cosmic danger time zones, there is one day in Iyar when the light force is strong creating a propitious time for new ventures.  In Iyar this is the 18th day…A DAY OF POWER.

So, now in reviewing the “why” regarding these time zones:  The misfortune which takes place during these times is the result of negative cosmic forces.  The hazards and pitfalls that many of us encounter can be traced to our having come under the influence of these periods of negative energy.  Hence it is wise to be cognizant of the danger zones and careful to avoid them.  Certain times and places speak strongly of an underlying force responsible for a world of order and beauty.  Yet we cannot close our eyes to the pain, violence and chaos that make their presence so cruelly felt.  The problem rests with Dinim (ungovernable energy).  During monthly danger zones the energy of the Force is such that there is no revelation of the Shechinah (the God the Mother energy which assures the manifestation and stability of the Force)  At such times the dynamic intensity of the Force is so severe that no vessel is capable of making contact with or handling the energy of the Force, which thereby manifests as Dinim in the universe.

Taurus and Scorpio have much in common.  Both are months of universal negative energy, yet both contain days of immense positive energy.  Moreover, of all the signs of the Zodiac, they alone have been given additional names.  Scorpio acquired the Hebrew name “Bul”, which points to the idea of exactness, “on target” or “right on,” appropriate for Scorpio’s internal energy-intelligence;  Taurus has the distinctive pre-exilic name “Ziv” meaning “brightness” or “light.”  It is this attribute of “light” which is both the challenge of lunar Taurus and its saving grace.

It was not by coincidence that the commencement of the Temple by King Solomon took place in the month of Taurus, and that its completion occurred in the month of Bul, which is the eight month sign of Heshvan and Scorpio.  These two months were carefully chosen by King Solomon to begin and end his endeavor.  Make no mistake in considering the possibility that it was his building contractors who could not begin earlier, or who by chance completed its construction n the month of Bul!

King Solomon, the Wise, a Kabbalist, understood the cosmos and the methods by which to tap its power.  Solomon knew that  completing the Temple in the month of Scorpio (Bul-exactness) would provide an infusion of spiritual energy-intelligence sufficient to fuel the Temple for some four hundred years.

Regarding the eighteenth day of lunar Taurus, the Ari, Isacc Luria, in his discussion of this period (known by its code name Sefirat ha Omer), states that “this day” is the revelation of compassion by mystery of the code name Elokim Haim, living Lord.  An attachment with Binah (the supernal mother and 3rd energy-intelligence on the tree of life, Leah) consciousness takes place.  This idea is revealed by another coded energy-intelligence know as the Sefirah of Hod, the 8th energy intelligence on the tree of life.

The Zohar points to the enormous power of Taurus in it’s discussion on the Tabernacle;  It is written:  “And the lord spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the Tabernacle in the first day of the second month, etc.”  The Revelation on Mount Sinai correlates with the power of the sun (Ze’ir Anpin),  the Tabernacle to the moon (Malchut).  The second month is called Ziv, an allusion to the unusual circuitry between Ze’ir Anpin (Sun) and Malchut (Moon), when the worlds altogether found themselves in grand unification.

The extrinsic and somewhat unruly atmosphere of this extremely high-powered time provides fair warning to those who are incapable of dealing with such a huge infusion of celestial energy.  Yet, spiritually minded individuals are strongly advised to begin a new venture on the eighteenth day of lunar Taurus, for success is all but assured.

With Kabbalah we establish continuity and freedom from doubt by revealing the inner sanctum of the cosmos and by tapping its energy for the benefit and well being of all humankind.

“Connecting and Intimacy”

536787_213053682141461_100003104925265_353923_278428511_n“Connecting and Intimacy”

I often laugh when people write and tell me how “centered” I appear to be, because, like most people I experience a wide range of emotions.  I have deep needs for connection and intimacy…but my feelings can be easily hurt.

Our awareness of our inner selves and desire to connect to each other are great gifts and should not be underestimated.  The goal is to find the right tools to allow us to make the best use of our natural gifts rather than living our lives worrying about what the external world might think or how they might react to us.

Self-acceptance is not something that you tell yourself to have, but rather the result of paying attention to your innermost feelings and desires with care and compassion.  Too many of us live our lives constantly ready to judge our bodies, our feelings, and our thoughts against a false external standard.  How often have you lost track of your own essence and found yourself living according to what other people want and expect of you.

Real success comes from being in touch with what makes us tick and feeling comfortable in our own skin regardless of whether it is shiny, bumpy, fur-covered, scaly, etc… .  “Connecting” does not involve changing yourself in order to make someone else happy.  I believe that living a fulfilled life comes from learning how to listen to your inner voice, to the truth of your inner being in all of the ways that it speaks to you, and to live from that sacred place.

The Pickle Jar – A Tribute to All Father’s on Their Special Day

coins in a jarThe Pickle Jar – A Tribute to All Father’s on their Special Day.  This is a special tribute to the late Rex Barker, son, father, grandfather and the author of “The Pickle Jar.”

The pickle jar as far back as I can remember sat on the floor beside the dresser in my parents’ bedroom. When he got ready for bed, Dad would empty his pockets and toss his coins into the jar. As a small boy I was always fascinated at the sounds the coins made as they were dropped into the jar. They landed with a merry jingle when the jar was almost empty. Then the tones gradually muted to a dull thud as the jar was filled. I used to squat on the floor in front of the jar and admire the copper and silver circles that glinted like a pirate’s treasure when the sun poured through the bedroom window. When the jar was filled, Dad would sit at the kitchen table and roll the coins before taking them to the bank. Taking the coins to the bank was always a big production. Stacked neatly in a small cardboard box, the coins were placed between Dad and me on the seat of his old truck.

Each and every time, as we drove to the bank, Dad would look at me hopefully. “Those coins are going to keep you out of the textile mill, son. You’re going to do better than me. This old mill town’s not going to hold you back.”

Also, each and every time, as he slid the box of rolled coins across the counter at the bank toward the cashier, he would grin proudly. “These are for my son’s college fund. He’ll never work at the mill all his life like me.”

We would always celebrate each deposit by stopping for an ice cream cone. I always got chocolate. Dad always got vanilla. When the clerk at the ice cream parlor handed Dad his change, he would show me the few coins nestled in his palm. “When we get home, we’ll start filling the jar again.” He always let me drop the first coins into the empty jar. As they rattled around with a brief, happy jingle, we grinned at each other. “You’ll get to college on pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters,” he said. “But you’ll get there. I’ll see to that.”

The years passed, and I finished college and took a job in another town. Once, while visiting my parents, I used the phone in their bedroom, and noticed that the pickle jar was gone. It had served its purpose and had been removed.

A lump rose in my throat as I stared at the spot beside the dresser where the jar had always stood. My dad was a man of few words, and never lectured me on the values of determination, perseverance, and faith. The pickle jar had taught me all these virtues far more eloquently than the most flowery of words could have done. When I married, I told my wife Susan about the significant part the lowly pickle jar had played in my life as a boy. In my mind, it defined, more than anything else, how much my dad had loved me.

No matter how rough things got at home, Dad continued to doggedly drop his coins into the jar. Even the summer when Dad got laid off from the mill, and Mama had to serve dried beans several times a week, not a single dime was taken from the jar.. To the contrary, as Dad looked across the table at me, pouring catsup over my beans to make them more palatable, he became more determined than ever to make a way out for me. “When you finish college, Son,” he told me, his eyes glistening, “You’ll never have to eat beans again…unless you want to.”

The first Christmas after our daughter Jessica was born, we spent the holiday with my parents. After dinner, Mom and Dad sat next to each other on the sofa, taking turns cuddling their first grandchild. Jessica began to whimper softly, and Susan took her from Dad’s arms. “She probably needs to be changed,” she said, carrying the baby into my parents’ bedroom to diaper her. When Susan came back into the living room, there was a strange mist in her eyes.

She handed Jessica back to Dad before taking my hand and leading me into the room. “Look,” she said softly, her eyes directing me to a spot on the floor beside the dresser. To my amazement, there, as if it had never been removed, stood the old pickle jar, the bottom already covered with coins. I walked over to the pickle jar, dug down into my pocket, and pulled out a fistful of coins. With a gamut of emotions choking me, I dropped the coins into the jar. I looked up and saw that Dad, carrying Jessica, had slipped quietly into the room. Our eyes locked, and I knew he was feeling the same emotions I felt. Neither one of us could speak.

This truly touched my heart… I know it has yours as well. Sometimes we are so busy adding up our troubles that we forget to count our blessings.

The Four Wives Club: Angel Message for the Month

In ancient times, there was a rich merchant who had 4 wives.  He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies.  He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.  He also loved the 3rd wife very much.  He’s very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.

He too, loved his 2nd wife.  She was a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant’s confidante.  Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.  Now, the merchant’s 1st wife was a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household.  However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, “Now I have 4 wives with me.  But when I die, I’ll be alone.  How lonely I’ll be!”

Thus, he asked the 4th wife, “I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you.  Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?”  “No way!” replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word.  Similar responses came from the 3rd and 2nd wife.

Then a voice called out : “I’ll leave with you.  I’ll follow you no matter where you go.”  The merchant looked up and there was his first wife.  Greatly grieved, the merchant said, “I should have taken much better care of you while I could have !”

Actually, we each have 4 wives in our lives;

4. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it’ll leave us when we die.

3. Our 3rd wife represents our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.

2. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we’re alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

1. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure; but in truth our real self.

This is Doc reminding you that the true inner you, which never disappears is your “soul”.

Kabbalistic Astrolgy: Gemini / Sivan 5773

The Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Formation) says, “He crowned the letter Resh and created Mercury in the world and Friday in the year. He crowned the letter Zayin and created Gemini in the world and Sivan in the Year.”

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which was created by the letter Resh. Resh is an expression of negative energy, energy of lack and poverty (Heb. rash).

Mercury is the communication planet. The word Kochav (Mercury) is built of two parts: Caf-Vav, numerical value 26, the same as the Yud Hei Vav Hei. And Caf-Vet, numerical value 22, the amount of the letters in the Hebrew aleph-bet.

The Zohar relates to the Hebrew letters as explained by Rav Berg in the book The Power of Aleph-bet as tools to reveal spiritual energy and draw the Light of The Creator to the world.

The most important cosmic event that takes place in Sivan is Shavuot (holiday of the weeks). From the Exodus from Egypt (Passover), we go through a cleansing process of 49 days called the Omer, seven weeks in which each day corrects one of the 49 degrees of negativity created in this lifetime and previous ones.

The fiftieth day connects us to Binah, the sefirah that stores the Light, and serves as the reservoir for all the wealth, health and happiness and more – this day is Shavuot.

3,400 thousand years ago, when Kabbalah and the Torah were revealed on Mount Sinai, all the Light that was revealed brought about bila hamavet lanetzach – Immortality. What is the connection between this historic event and our times?

Both Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and 1,500 after him, the Ari, explain the meaning of this holiday. Rabbi Shimon says that each year, on the holiday of Shavuot we have the opportunity to get life insurance – not the conventional kind, but real insurance, that guarantees a life free of chaos until the end of the lunar year.

Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai says that the holiday of Shavuot enables us to connect to immortality. During the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai, we reached the end of our correction, and were freed from the Angel of Death, from all chaos, and from Satan consciousness. The Light enabled us to achieve complete control of any aspect of our lives.

How can we reconnect each year to this primordial power that was revealed 3,400 years ago? By studying the whole night.

The letter Zayin created the month of Sivan. What is the secret of this letter? When the Creator wanted to create the world, He looked at the Hebrew letters, which are the DNA of our universe, and used them to create the world. The letter Zayin has the numerical value of seven, and the power of the Shabbat, the day the creation of the world was completed, so she has the energy of completeness.

Those two letters together, Resh that created Mercury and Zayin that created Sivan, create the Hebrew word Raz – secret. Now it is all up to us and how much we act upon connecting and activating those powers in our lives.

Gemini is an intellectual air sign. Mercury, which rules Gemini, is the planet of communication, causing any person (including anyone that has some Gemini in his chart) the desire to know.

Curiosity is the key word for Gemini. They bear an innate desire to learn, to gather information and to study for life. A Gemini knows that the more information he has, the more choices he has, and knowledge is power.

Geminis struggle with focus, choice and commitment. Anything requiring consistency or persistence poses a problem. They are known to be Jacks of all trades and masters of none.

Geminis love communication. They make wonderful teachers, lawyers, salesmen, and excel in all areas of the media – radio, T.V., stage, and more. They love freedom-based occupations that involve driving, flying and travel in general. They can be writers, journalists, and often hold more than one job at a time.

Gemini gets along with air and fire signs. Their correction is to focus. To choose one path, one teacher, the true path in life, one partner, not to jump from one subject to the other, that is how a Gemini can become a channel to share with others what they know and understand.

 Shalom Aleichem…

Peace be upon you

The Power of Speech

socratesIn ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day one fellow met the great philosopher and said, “Do you know what I just heard about your friend?”. “Hold on a minute,” Socrates replied. “Before telling me anything I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple Filter Test.”. “Triple filter?”. “That’s right,” Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?” “No,” the man said, “actually I just heard about it and…”. “All right,” said Socrates. “So you don’t know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” . “No, on the contrary…”. “So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?” “No, not really.” “Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?” This is why Socrates was a great philosopher & held in such high esteem. Friend, use this triple filter each time you hear loose talk about any of your near & dear friends.

Mother’s Day May 12, 2013

mother-daughter-300x249MOTHER’S DAY is Sunday…12 May 2013 in the U.S.A.

Mothers & Daughters

Mother’s Day traces back to ancient Greece where spring celebrations honored Rhea, the Eternal Mother of the Gods. When asked what my most significant contribution has been my answer is readily available…”Being a Mother.”

Once you become a Mother, you will always be a Mother. You’ll add other titles such as “Grandma” and “Great Grandma” as the years pass, but you’ll never lose the feelings and responsibilities that come with being called “Mom.” We Mothers have a fondness for all our children but for those of us who have daughters we must admit that there is a special caring relationship that develops between daughter and mother. After all, we are all daughters to someone and if it is their desire our daughters will someday become Mothers themselves.

I like the feeling I get when I do something for my daughter Leigh and she says the feeling is mutual. We’ve developed a relationship that extends beyond mother/daughter…we’re friends…we genuinely like one another which is significant indeed. Because of our special bond we truly care for one another… unconditionally. Happy Mothers Day!

Mother is the name of God on the lips and in the hearts of all children.” …Eric Draden played by the late Brandon Lee in “The Crow.”

The following is an inspirational Mother’s Day story by Rex Barker.

After 21 years of marriage, I discovered a new way of keeping alive the spark of love. A little while ago I started to go out with another woman. It was really my wife’s idea. “I know that you love her,” she said one day, taking me by surprise. “But I love YOU,” I protested. “I know, but you also love her.”

The other woman that my wife wanted me to go out with was my mother, who has been a widow for 19 years. The demands of my work and my three children had made it possible for me to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and maybe somewhere else to spend some time together afterwards. “What’s wrong, are you okay ?” she asked.  My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news. “I thought that it would be nice to spend some time with you,” I responded. “Just the two of us.” She thought about it for a moment, then said, “I would like that very much.”

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up, I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she too seemed to be nervous about our “date.” She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel’s.  “I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed,” she said, as she got into the car. “They can’t wait to hear about our evening.”

We went to a restaurant that, though not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could read only large print. Half way through the entrees, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. “It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,” she said. “Then it’s time that you relax and let me return the favor,” I responded.

During the dinner we had an agreeable conversation – nothing extraordinary – but catching up on recent events of each other’s life. We talked for so long that we didn’t even go anywhere else. As we arrived at her house later, she said, “I’ll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.” I agreed.

“How was your dinner date?” asked my wife when I got home. “Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,” I answered.

A few days later my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn’t have a chance to do anything for her. Some time later I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place my mother and I had dined. An attached note read: “Son, I paid this bill in advance. I was almost sure that I couldn’t be there but, nevertheless, I paid for two plates – one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant to me. I love you.”

At that moment I understood the importance of saying, in time, “I LOVE YOU” and of giving your loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till “some other time.”

Thanks to all the women who love, nurture, teach and inspire us…every day of the year!

MY LIFE INTERRUPTED FOR THE BETTER

cow-calf-235x236MY LIFE INTERRUPTED FOR THE BETTER

May 4, 1988 was to many a day as any other however for me this day would be a turning point in my life.  Tonight I would be meeting a person who would interrupt my life for the better.  Although I had been in communication with this person for months, we had never shared an actual photo to date.  We enjoyed endless hours of reading literature particularly on spiritual matters and listened to peaceful music for hours.  We both are fond of Secret Garden, husband and wife new age musicians.

As the Sun set I began feeling more anxious for soon I would be meeting this elusive person who would change my life forever.  I had reached the location in which we would meet and positioned myself comfortably in order to relax as much as possible.  Being as we had never actually seen each other, I began wondering as I had done many time in the past, what he would look like.  Would he have dark hair?  I thought he might for the energy I felt was that of a dark haired Prince. There was something very exciting indeed in anticipating our initial meeting.

A few hours  passed and he had not arrived.  Should I be worried, perhaps, but I wasn’t,  for I knew he would arrive as expected.  I gazed out the window and noticed that the sky was clear and bright stars danced throughout her canvas.  A gentle wind caused the branches of the tree outside to sway beautifully as if announcing the arrival of my much anticipated Prince.

I began to feel an unusual tightening in my abdominal area and called for the nurse.  She came in and checked me, then comforted me by saying, “I will return with the doctor. ” As the doctor entered the room my little guy was showing his crown.  Within 30 seconds his head came forth and then with another push Kirk Michael  arrived as expected.  The birth was an easy one for both of us and now after many months of anticipation my son was here cooing like a little koala bear.

The nurse placed Kirk in my arms and we both immediately acknowledged one another.  Tears welled up in my eyes as he wrapped his tiny fingers around my forefinger.  It was love at first sight.  There was not much need for verbal communication, for it was as if we both knew what the other was thinking.  From that day forward I truly knew what joy was and I was no longer in pursuit of happiness.

Kirk is now 25 and we still share a unique bond.  To this day we telepathically communicate, often finishing one another’s sentences or stating something that the other is thinking.  We totally respect and trust one another as much as two people can within this world.  Kirk is an old, wise soul and I often describe him as the reincarnation of my father from another life.   Although Kirk is my child, since his birth he has contributed stability to my life, which in all appearances was chaotic.  He is the one person I have come to know who I admire more than any other soul I have encountered on my life journey.

The Light Who guides his every hour!

THY KINGDOM COME that we may know
Thou hast a Plan for fumbling man,
A Plan which shows which Way to go
To be as One with our I AM!

THY WILL BE DONE in all we do,
For tear-filled hearts have tasted joys
When we behave like Suns of You
And shut our ears to Earthly noise!

ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN,
Thy Light will shine from every heart
Fed by Love from the Sacred Seven
To make this Earth a star apart!

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
To feed our Souls and make us wise
That we may raise the walking dead,
Who lead such quarrelsome, unholy lives!

AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES
That we may have another chance
To taste Thy Truth ‘n save the masses
Who cannot see the Karmic dance!

AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US
We learn that mercy shown is Love returned
when most we need It’s healing balm;
For We are Mercy’s cup of measure!

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
For this, O Lord, we yearn no more,
When Tempter speaks, let Akasha mention
That all those paths we’ve tried before!

BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL
Which empty minds and hearts produce,
Bit by bit our wills, so feeble,
Do learn that Love be put to use!

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM Eternal
That blended the rose with the lion;
Let It slay the dragon infernal
And Lighten the shades of Orion!

AND THE POWER AND THE GLORY FOREVER
Will blast a crescendo of Beauty
Through all barriers of man’s endeavor
To Light his cross for Love of Thee!

Amen, Amen, Amen!  So be it!
